The President of Aba Sports Club, Chief Jerry Kalu has expressed gratitude with the support the club has received from educationist and Chancellor Gregory University Uturu, Prof. Gregory Ibe.
ABN TV reports thatChief Kalu who is the 65th President of the club declared this while receiving a delegation from Prof. Gregory Ibe Foundation in his office.
In a release signed by the PAR, Media & Public Relations of Gregory University Uturu, Sleek Ogbonnaya Ogwo, Chief Kalu while describing Prof. Gregory as a serial philanthropist and committed partner of progress, praised the magnanimity of the Chancellor, whom he said: “has maintained an enviable partnership with Aba Sports Club for many years, which has witnessed the donation of many gifts to the club, including a bus”.
Earlier, leader of the delegation, Hon. Emeka Okafor commended the leadership of Aba Sports Club for initiating and undertaking the construction of many projects.

In his words, the visionary leadership of the club has resulted in “massive expansion of the club on all sides”.
He stated that the delegation came to redeem part of the Chancellor’s pledge which was made during the inaugural dinner of the 65th President.
The team proceeded to present a cheque of #1.2M to Chief Kalu.
According to Hon Okafor, the pledge is in aid of the construction of a club tractor house and promised to remit the balance of #2M to ensure completion of the project.
Chief Kalu was joined in receiving the delegation by some executive members of the club management.
