The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Umuahia, Prof. Azubuike K. Onyebuchi, has been appointed as a member of the Governing Council of Amadeus University, Amizi, Abia State. His appointment, which took effect from June 1, 2024, is for a four-year term, in accordance with the provisions of the University Law.
The Board of Trustees of Amadeus University formally conveyed this appointment in an official letter signed by its Chairman, Dr. Godwin Nwabunka. The letter highlighted that Prof. Onyebuchi’s nomination was based on his sterling leadership qualities, vast experience, and outstanding contributions to the advancement of university education and administration in Nigeria.
As a pioneer Governing Council member, Prof. Onyebuchi is expected to play a key role in shaping policies that will drive the growth and development of Amadeus University. His expertise in medical education and institutional leadership is seen as a valuable asset to the newly established university, which aims to become a leading institution in academic excellence and research.
