Princess Monica Ottah Congratulates Emeka Wogu, Ohajuruka, Others On SEDC Appointments

Prominent community leader and advocate, Princess (Dr.) Monica Uche Ottah, fondly known as Adadukwu Ihechiowa, has congratulated Dr. Emeka Wogu on his appointment as Chairman of the Governing Board of the South East Development Commission (SEDC).

She also congratulated Stanley Ohajuruka, the Executive Director of Finance, and other newly confirmed board members.

In her congratulatory message made available to, Princess Ottah expressed her confidence in Dr. Wogu and his team’s capacity to deliver on the commission’s mandate of fostering development across the South East region.

“I have full confidence in the leadership and expertise of the Chairman and his team. Their combined experience and dedication will undoubtedly drive significant progress for the South East Development Commission,” she stated.

The appointments, confirmed by the Senate today, mark a new chapter in the commission’s journey to address critical developmental needs in the South East. The 18-member board is led by Dr. Emeka Wogu as Chairman and Mark C. Okoye as Managing Director/CEO.

Other members of the board include Ugochukwu H. Agballah, Okey Ezenwa, Chief Hyacinth Ikpor, Chidi Echeazu, Ifeanyi Agwu, Nasiru Usman, Hamma Adama, Ali Kumo, Edward David Onoja, Orure Kufre Inima, Daniel Akwari, Mrs. Joke Adebayo-Chukwuma, Chief Sylvester Okonkwo (Executive Director, Corporate Services), Toby Okechukwu (Executive Director, Projects), Anthony Agbo (Executive Director, Commercial and Industrial Development), and Dr. Clifford Ogbede (Executive Director, Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Rural Development).

Princess Ottah commended the Senate for confirming such a diverse and experienced team, noting that their collective expertise would be instrumental in implementing sustainable development initiatives in the region.

As the SEDC embarks on its mission, the goodwill and optimism from stakeholders like Princess Ottah reflect the expectations for impactful and transformative leadership.
