Prince C.O.Enweremadu, son of the late foremost traditional ruler in Ala Ngwa, Eze Enweremadu, former Commissioner for Information, Barr. Eze Chikamnayo and 25 other nominees have made the list of persons expected to be screened by Abia State House of Assembly for deployment as Commissioners.
Recall that over six months, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has been running a slim cabinet following the dissolution of the state executive council.
The opposition APC in the state has mounted pressure on the governor to appoint commissioners, alleging attempts to siphon the 2021 disbursements for the ministries in the absence of substantive commissioners in majority of the ministries.
Barr Chris Ezem, Secretary to Abia State Government in the list made available to ABN TV on Sunday said the governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has forwarded the nominees for screening by the state Assembly.
