President Tinubu Mourns Former CAF President

President Bola Tinubu(GCFR) has expressed his condolences to the family of Issa Hayatou, former President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), who died at the age of 77 on Thursday.

Tinubu’s spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale issued a statement expressing condolences to the Cameroonian Football Federation, the Cameroonian people, and the African football community.

He acknowledged the iconic football administrator’s death as a great loss, emphasizing his contributions to the sport’s growth in Africa and beyond.

Hayatou served as acting President of FIFA, the world’s governing organization for football.

Tinubu prayed for the soul of the deceased and strength for his family at this trying time.
