President Tinubu Appoints New Directors-General Of NIA, DSS

President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of new Directors-General for the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and the Department of State Services (DSS).

Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed takes the helm at NIA, bringing over two decades of experience in foreign service. He joined the NIA in 1995 and has served in various roles, including as head of the Nigerian mission to Libya.

Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi assumes leadership of the DSS, rising through the ranks from Assistant Director-General. He has served as State Director in several states, including Bauchi, Enugu, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Kogi.

The appointments follow the resignation of the previous chiefs and come as President Tinubu seeks to reposition the agencies for enhanced performance. He charged the new appointees to leverage their expertise and collaborate with sister agencies to tackle Nigeria’s security challenges.

The President expressed gratitude to the outgoing Directors-General for their service and wished them success in future endeavors.
