A new Aide-de-Camp has been appointed for President Muhammadu Buhari, ABN TV reports.
The new ADC, Lt-Col Yusuf Dodo, takes over from Col. Mohammed Abubakar who has been with the President since inception of his regime in 2015.
Abubakar is proceeding to Santiago, Chile for a five-month Strategic and Defence Course from March 8.
The course is a prerequisite for his next promotion to the rank of Brigadier-General.
An ADC is one of the prominent security officials in the “inner ring” of the Presidency.

Others in that category are the Chief Security Officer and the Chief Personal Security Officer among others.
Until his new posting, Buhari’s new ADC was the Academy Adjutant of the Nigeria Defence Academy.
He is expected to understudy Abubakar for three weeks.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, confirmed the development to our correspondent on the telephone on Saturday.
“Yes, it is true. There is a new ADC that will be taking over from the outgoing ADC,” he said.
