President Muhammadu Buhari has extended his heartfelt condolences to Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State over the passing of his father, Abraham, at 88.
In a condolence message by his spokesman, Malam Garba Shehu, on Monday in Abuja, the president commiserated with the entire Diri family.
He also condoled with the government and people of Bayelsa on the loss of ”a moral instructor whose humility made a positive impact in the lives of all that passed through his tutelage, including the governor.”

President Buhari noted that the Sampou Community would particularly miss the late Abraham Diri for his exemplary contributions to its educational development, transcending all ages.
According to the president, his prayers and thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
He prayed that God would grant the soul of the departed eternal rest.
