Commendations have continued to trail the donation of the sum of N10m by Senate Chief Whip, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu for the construction of a female hostel at Holy Rosary Girls Secondary School, Umuahia, Abia State capital.
The federal lawmaker who was the Chief launcher/Special Guest of Honour also announced the donation of the sum of N5 million naira to the school.
The fulfillment of this promise comes barely two months later.
ABN TV gathered that Sen. Kalu has also redeemed his pledge of making available sewing machines to the school.

In her note of gratitude over the gesture, the Project Team Lead, Mrs Helen Mbakwe, said their hearts were overwhelmed in emotions and joy untold the moment the credit alert of N10m hit their boss’ Account Wednesday morning unexpectedly.
She said; “This money came just as the Finance Lead was sounding the alarm that we have only N4m liquid cash as we are about to enter the next phase of the Legacy Building Project.
“As you have wiped our tears today, God will not abandon you in your own day of need. Bringing out this chunk of money to enhance the Education of Girls who are not in a position to repay you will never go unrewarded”, she prayed.
Speaking during the launching, the Former Governor expressed gratitude to the Bishop for personally invited him to attend the event.
He also said he believes that investment in education should be continuous, adding that it’s not something that should be halted at any particular time.

His words, “In fact, I wish that this school is situated in my senatorial district. I have a special love for this school and I have made it very clear that I will give my full support.
“My first donation for the love I have for the advancement of women which starts with the ‘Girls Child Education’, is that I will build a brand new hostel for this school and the building will be named after His Lordship, Bishop Iwejuru Ugorji.
“My second donation is to support the school with some amount of money to contribute to what they are doing. When the hostel is completed more students will have access to additional accommodation.
“I urge the Old Girls Association of this school not to relent in their quest to see that this project is actualized. I will also donate 10 sewing machines to the girls to encourage their skill acquisition department” Kalu said.
