The lawmaker representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah, remains resolute in the face of renewed legal action, as a fresh hearing in the long-running dispute between him and his predecessor, Hon. Nkeiruka Chidubem Onyejeocha, appears on the cause list of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
According to the official court schedule from the Gwarinpa Judicial Division, dated Tuesday, January 20, 2026, the matter listed as Suit No: CV/510/2023—Hon. Nkeiruka Chidubem Onyejeocha vs. Hon. Chief Amobi Ogah—is slated for hearing before Hon. Justice M. A. Hassan.
Supporters and political observers have described the continued court appearances as part of a prolonged legal campaign against Hon. Ogah, despite his victory in the 2023 general elections and subsequent affirmation of his mandate by the courts.
Since assuming office, Hon. Ogah has remained focused on legislative responsibilities and constituency development, even as the legal tussle persists. Constituents and community leaders have consistently urged all parties to respect the will of the electorate and allow the lawmaker to carry out his duties without distraction.
A stakeholder from the constituency, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said, “The people have spoken through the ballot and the courts. What we want now is peace and development, not endless litigation.”
The case continues to attract attention across Abia State and beyond, with many viewing it as a test of democratic maturity and respect for judicial decisions.
