Pope Francis issued a new condemnation of US President Donald Trump’s deportations of undocumented migrants on Tuesday, calling them a “major crisis” that “damages the dignity of men and women.”

“I exhort all the faithful of the Catholic Church, and all men and women of good will, not to give in to narratives that discriminate against and cause unnecessary suffering to our migrant and refugee brothers and sisters,” he said in a letter to US bishops.
