Suspected robbers on Friday attacked a vehicle after an unnamed occupant reportedly made a withdrawal from a second-generation bank at Bank Road Umuahia, Abia State, ABN TV reports.
The driver of the vehicle and a policeman escorting him were shot and killed on the spot.
Names of the victims could not be ascertained at the moment of this report.
The incident occurred around Mission Hill area of Umuahia, capital of Abia State at about 11:45 am.

ABN TV gathered that the robbers trailed the vehicle from a second-generation bank at bank Road Umuahia where the money was withdrawn.
They carted away the sums of money estimated at three million Naira, ABN TV learnt.
Attempt to reach the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Geoffrey Ogbonna proved abortive.
