The Bauchi State Police Command has warned the public, particularly young individuals, regarding a trend of climbing telecommunications masts.

According to a press release issued on Tuesday by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Wakil, this dangerous and careless behaviour has led to several incidents, prompting the Command to take action.

The command said it had reported three significant cases where individuals attempted to commit suicide by scaling communication masts.
