Police Arrest Woman Who Inflicted Harms On House Help For Allegedly Licking Baby’s Milk In Imo (Photos, Video)

Police in Imo State have arrested a housewife identified as Mrs. Nneoma Nneoha for allegedly maltreating and inflicting bodily harm on her domestic help, 12-year-old Miss. Ugonma Uche.

Miss Ugonma, who hails from Egbu in Owerri North local government area of Imo State was said to have incurred the wrath of her madam when she allegedly licked the baby’s milk.

Video obtained by our correspondent showed marks of violence all over the teenager’s body and when asked, she said she wants to go back to her parents.

She said she is a relative of Mrs. Nneoma Nneoha’s husband and that the couple usually engages in fights over her constant mal-treatment by Mrs. Nneoma.

ABN TV learnt that the Facebook user, Ochiegbu Marvelous who posted the incident is a member of the non-governmental organisation, Behind Bars Human Right Foundation.

He wrote, “Behind Bars Human Right Foundation team intervened immediately to save the life of the child.

“Child abuse is one of those things behind bars Human Right Foundation don’t condole, it is against our belief

“If you know you cant stay with someones child please leave.”

He added, “The woman is currently in police custody @Imo State Area Command and the child will be handed over to the parents

“While the woman will be charged to court for child abuse.”

He also praised the DG of the organisation, Harrison Gwamnishu for the platform and the Imo State Police Command for their prompt intervention.
