The Eiye Confraternity allegedly sent two members on a vengeance mission after one of their own was killed, according to the Lagos State Police Command, which claims to have detained two of the suspected members.
In Lagos on Wednesday, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, a spokesman for the Command, verified this to reporters.
According to Hundeyin, the suspects, who have been identified only by initials, were detained just as they were about to carry out their intentions to assassinate several members of their rival organization, Aiye Confraternity.

Hundeyin said that the arrest of the suspects saved the area from another crisis as there would have been another bloody clash between the two rival groups.
