Prominent Abians on Saturday filed out for a fitness exercise tagged, “Road Walk Festival & 1k Man Match”, which is aimed at creating awareness on the need to keep feet to prevent hypertension, keep good body weight, improve mental health and well-being.
Among those who participated at the exercise in Umuahia, Abia State capital include, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, member representing Isiala Ngwa North/South Federal Constituency, Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Stanley Ohajiriuka, and Rt. Hon. Martins Azubuike who was also a former speaker of the state Assembly.
The event was organized by Extreme Fitness With De Latinos In collaboration with the Peace in South East Project (PISE-P).
Other prominent Abians who participated include, Mr. Emmanuel Okenini (Bello), CEO De Latinos Foundation, Hon Emeka Nwogu, former Nigerian Minister, Hon. Sam Onuigbo, former member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency And many others
It was also aimed at fostering unity and togetherness in Abia as well as raising awareness on the need to promote peace in the region.
