PEPT Judgement: ‘Sleeping’ Lawyers Should Refund Peter Obi’s Money – Soso Soberekon

The viral clips of lawyers having a sound sleep at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) held in Abuja on Wednesday, September 6, have continued to elicit reactions from Nigerians online.

The PEPT commenced the delivery of judgment in the disputes that arose over the February 25 presidential poll which saw President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) declared the winner.

Five political parties including the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), Action Peoples Party (APP), Allied Peoples Movement (APM), and the Action Alliance (AA) are challenging the poll’s outcome.

The parties lodged separate petitions at the PEPT sitting at the Court of Appeal in Abuja, seeking to annul Tinubu’s victory.

However, many weren’t prepared for the ‘sleeping marathon’ view that greeted the populace following the decision by the tribunal to televise the judgement on national TV.

Several lawyers and notable personalities were captured in different positions, dozing away.

Reacting to the clips, Soso Soberekon suggested that all the lawyers hired by the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi ought to refund his money.

He said: “All these Peter Obi lawyers suppose refund the man his money.”
