The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has suspended former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, former Senate President Pius Anyim, Professor Dennis Ityavyar, and Aslam Aliyu for suspected anti-party conduct.
The PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, announced the news in a statement on Thursday.
According to the statement, “the suspension, which takes effect on Thursday, arrived at after an extensive review of the affairs of the party, pursuant to the provisions of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017).”
The main opposition party also submitted Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom to the National Disciplinary Committee for alleged anti-party activities.
“The PDP urges all leaders, critical stakeholders, and teeming members of our party across the country to remain united and focused at this critical time,” the statement added.
