Pastor Bolaji Idowu, Lead Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre (HICC), has dismissed allegations linking him to fraudulent real estate activities and money laundering, calling the claims baseless and misleading.
The allegations surfaced following a report by an online media outlet (not The Nation) on Tuesday, which stated that Idowu had been detained in Abuja by the Force Criminal Investigation Department over his supposed involvement in real estate fraud.
Speaking at his Next Level Prayer program on Wednesday morning, Pastor Idowu vehemently denied the accusations, clarifying that he has no connection to the real estate business.
“In the past 24 hours, there has been a lot of news about me on social media. I just want to clarify a few things,” he said. “I heard that I was involved in real estate, but the truth is, I do not own any properties in Nigeria apart from the one everyone knows. I neither sell nor buy properties. I am not involved in that business.”

The pastor also addressed claims of financial misconduct, emphasizing the transparency of his finances. “My accounts are public. Go and check if I have ever received billions into my accounts,” he asserted.
Reacting to the accusations, he expressed surprise, revealing that he learned about the allegations from the media, just like the public. “Some of these things, as you are reading them, I am also reading them,” he added.
