Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum has heaped plaudits on his players after they secured a berth at the 2024 Olympic Games.
The former African champions put up a spirited display against the Banyana Banyana of South Africa in the second leg of their final qualifying round fixture at the Lotfus Versfeld Stadium, Pretoria on Tuesday night.
The West Africans held the reigning African champions to a 0-0 draw, scaling through 1-0 on aggregate.

Waldrum praised the players for their spirited display in the keenly contested encounter.
“The team did everything we asked of them to get the result,” Waldrum said after the game.
“We knew South Africa will come at us, we respect them but this was our seventh or eighth clean sheet, we have been very good defensively
“With time and some proper work, we will also be better on the offensive side, which everyone is asking for.”
