Parents and guardians have commended one of the leading private schools in Abia, UCY Model School Ohafia for remaining a leading light in academics and character.
PTA chairman of the school, Rev. Amos Arua while speaking with ABN TV on Wednesday at the maiden edition of the school’s special award ceremony noted that the school has inculcated a visible academic brilliance and good character in his children.
He said a clear difference is seen in them which according to him is a manifestation of the hard work the school is putting in place.

According to Rev. Arua, the award ceremony will encourage the students to strive for excellence in their academic pursuit, urging parents to do more in ensuring that their children get the best education that can prepare them for the future.
Also speaking, the Traditional Prime Minister of Ebem Ohafia Ancient kingdom, Simple Ogba Orji Kalu expressed satisfaction with UCY Model School’s effort in remaining the pace-setter in line with its motto.
He also encouraged the students to remain good ambassadors of the school by demonstrating good character and academic performance, praying God to grant them wisdom to succeed in life.
The college president of the school, Mazi Uche Uduma Ukoha in his remarks expressed gratitude to parents for their support which he said has remained the backbone of the school.
He noted that decision of the school to honour the parents and have dinner with them is to convey their message of appreciation.
He reiterated the commitment of the school to continue offering parents and caregivers a top-notch service by ensuring that their children are outstanding and fully prepared to face the future.
