Panic Over Heavy Gunshots In Nnamdi Kanu’s Country Home, Umuahia

Residents of Umuahia were in Saturday evening left in panic and tension following heavy gunshots around Isiama Afaraukwu, country home of the embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafran, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Members of the community were said to have fled their homes as the heavy gunshots raged.

Confirming the incident, a younger brother to the detained IPOB leader, Prince Emmanuel blamed a detachment of police personnel who allegedly stormed the entrance gate to the late father’s palace and open fire indiscriminately.

Our correspondent could not independently confirm reason for the shooting but Prince Emmanuel was quick to say that the Nigeria police should be held accountable if anything happen to members of his family.
