The peaceful town of Umuodu, Owerri-Nchi-Ise in Owerri Municipal Council, Imo State, is today enveloped in solemn reflection as family, friends, and well-wishers gather to pay their last respects to Ezinna Julius Okamnimenam Anoruo, who is being laid to rest.

Ezinna Anoruo, a revered elder, patriarch, and pillar of the Anoruo family, passed away in 2024 at the age of 91. Born in 1933, he was celebrated not only for his longevity but also for the values of humility, love, and leadership that he upheld throughout his life.

A devout Christian and community leader, Ezinna Anoruo’s influence stretched beyond his immediate family, touching many within and outside the Owerri-Nchi-Ise community. His passing marks the end of an era for those who knew him.

The funeral, which is taking place today, May 2, 2025, has drawn sympathizers from far and wide, including notable personalities, clergy, and community leaders, all gathered to honor the life and legacy of a man who stood as a symbol of peace and wisdom.
