A socio-political group, Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK) Movement has reiterated its readiness to put in place what it called people-oriented leadership in Abia State.
Speaking with ABN TV on Wednesday shortly after an enlarged State Executive Committee meeting of the group, the State Chairman of OUK Movement, Engr. Agu Ndukwe Orji expressed dissatisfaction that the state has in recent times been grappling with challenges of leadership.
He said the movement is focused in galvanising and sensitising the people of the state to support putting in place a leadership system that serves their greater good.

While maintaining that this falls in line with the vision of the founder of the Movement and former governor of the state, Sen. Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, Engr. Agu Orji said that the state deserves selfless community service that will drive development at all levels.
He further stated that the Wednesday meeting which comes few days to the end of the year is aimed at reaffirming the resolve of members towards achieving the goal of the organization, adding that it is an avenue for members to further close gaps.
Founder of the Movement, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu who joined the meeting virtually congratulated the newly appointed Executive Committee Members of the body, charging them to work assiduously towards achieving the aim for its establishment.
The meeting had in attendance the State Chairman of OUK Movement, Engr. Agu Ndukwe Orji, State Secretary, Uzoma Emezue, State Publicity Secretary, Barr. Sam Ogbonna, women leader and youth leader as well as some of the 17 local government Chairmen and Secretaries.
