The Otti Rock Movement, a pro-government support group, was officially inaugurated on March 20, 2026, in Obingwa Local Government Area, with stakeholders expressing strong commitment to Governor Alex Otti’s administration.
The event attracted top political figures, traditional leaders, and Labour Party stakeholders from across the state.
Proceedings began with the Master of Ceremony welcoming dignitaries, including Labour Party chieftain and Chief Mobilizer of the Otti Rock Movement, Hon. Peter Azubuike, alongside the Commissioner for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Prof. Joel Ogbonna.
A colourful parade by representatives of various local government areas, showcasing their support through dance and coordinated displays, set the tone for the event. This was followed by an opening prayer led by Rev. Ohanme and the traditional breaking of kolanut by community leaders.
In their goodwill messages, speakers reaffirmed their commitment to the movement and pledged continued support for Governor Otti’s administration.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Peter Azubuike, in his capacity as Chief Mobilizer of the movement, described Governor Otti as “the best governor in Nigeria,” stressing that the movement’s objective is to ensure continuity in governance.
The event concluded with a closing prayer and refreshments, marking the formal launch of the movement.
