Otti Pays Tribute To Fallen Heroes, Calls For Fresh Start For Nigeria

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has paid glowing tribute to Nigeria’s fallen heroes, security operatives, and ordinary citizens who lost their lives in the country’s chequered journey to nationhood.

Speaking at the 65th Independence Anniversary celebration in Umuahia, the Governor said their courage and sacrifices must remain a fountain of inspiration for future generations.

While admitting that Nigeria has been stunted by bad leadership, corruption, and wrong decisions, Otti said the country still has a fresh opportunity to chart a new path.

“Mistakes have been made, but yet another beautiful opportunity has been offered us — to rise to the noble ideals of the independence movement and cast aside the inhibitions that have kept us out of the table of greatness,” he declared.
