Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, on Saturday, June 1, 2024, paid a heartfelt condolence visit to the wives of the five soldiers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
ABN TV reports that unknown gunmen killed the soldiers in Obikabia, Obingwa Local Government Area, on Thursday, May 30, 2024.
Governor Otti visited the 144 Battalion in Asa, Ukwa West LGA, where he met the young widows and offered his condolences. He was received by Brigadier General O. O. Diya, Commander of 14 Brigade Ohafia, Nigeria Army.
During his visit, Governor Otti signed the condolence register to honor the fallen soldiers, paying tribute to their ultimate sacrifice.
