The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree chapter, has suspended academic activities in the institution.
The Osun Poly ASUP Chairman, Dr. Fatai Afolabi, made this known in a speech in Iree on Tuesday.
DAILY POST recalled that the state government had on Monday suspended the Rector of the institution, Dr. Tajudeen Odetayo, and replaced him with Akanbi Adeyemi.
In a statement signed by Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, A. K. Jimoh.
Odetayo was accused of financial recklessness, corruption, misappropriation of funds, and abuse of office among others.
