On Tuesday morning, there was a considerable police presence at major intersections and roundabouts in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State.
Olaiya intersection, Oke-Fia and LAMECO roundabouts, Old Garage/Freedom Park, Ayetoro roundabout, and Osun State High Court grounds are among the areas with a police presence.
The presence of heavily armed police officers could be related to the Supreme Court’s decision, which is scheduled for today in Abuja.
According to ABN TV, the Supreme Court set today, Tuesday, for judgment after hearing from Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the case of the Osun 2022 gubernatorial election.
Ademola Adeleke won the election, but it was later overturned by the Osun gubernatorial election tribunal.
However, the Appellate Court overturned the tribunal’s decision and ruled Ademola Adeleke to be the legitimately elected Governor of Osun.
