Osimhen Yet To Resume Full Training At Napoli

Victor Osimhen missed training again on Monday as Napoli started preparation ahead of this weekend’s clash against Leece.

Osimhen missed the Partenopei’s clash with Fiorentina last weekend due to injury.

The 25-year-old has not train with his teammates since sustaining the injury in Napoli’s 2-0 defeat to Bologna two weeks ago.

According to information on Napoli’s official website, the Nigeria international took part in gym work at club’s Konami Training Centre on Monday.

It remain to be seen if he will be available for the game against Leece.

The encounter will hold at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Sunday.

Nigeria head coach, Finidi George is also awaiting news on Osimhen’s health status ahead of his side’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures against South Africa and Benin Republic.

The Super Eagles will take on Bafana Bafana at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Friday, June 7.

The three-time African champions will take on Benin Republic at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan three days later.
