Osimhen Needs Time To Find Best Form, Says Napoli Boss Mazzarri

Napoli manager Walter Mazzarri has defended Victor Osimhen and claimed the forward needs time to find his best form.

Osimhen has failed to register a goal in his last three outings for the Serie A champions following his return from a hamstring injury.

Napoli also won one and lost two of the three games.

Mazzarri believed the talismanic striker would be back to his best soon.

”Osimhen needs time to find his best form, also in terms of physical conformation,” the gaffer was quoted by the club’s official website.

“But it’s clear that even if he wasn’t at one hundred percent, he can still give me great guarantees for the strength he knows how to express, even for portions of matches like has done so far after returning.”

The 24-year-old has scored six goals in 10 league appearances for the Partenopei this season.

Napoli will face Juventus in their Serie A clash at the Allianz Arena on Friday.
