Osimhen Arrives Uyo In Private Jet For AFCON 2025

Victor Osimhen, recently signed by Galatasaray, will be ready to play in the 2025 AFCON qualifying matches against Rwanda and Benin Republic.

SportingSun sourced on Italian Pink sports newspaper- La Gazzetta dello Sport on Tuesday, the Osimhen transfer saga is over after he agreed to a move to Galatasaray from Napoli.

The 25-year-old put pen to paper after his medical, that was conducted few hours he arrived Istanbul.

And from there, he should be in Nigeria to practice with his national team (the Super Eagles) as they prepare for the 2025 AFCON, using a private flight made available by Galatasaray.

The Turkish Super Lig giant accelerated the signing of the African Player of the Year after the injury to Mauro Icardi, got Osimhen on a one-year dry loan termination agreement with no buy option, at the same time, Napoli and the Nigerian reduced the current release clause to €75 million with the club’s option to extend the deal until 2027.

Meanwhile, Gazzetta also informed that Napoli saved €15 million gross in wages as a result of Osimhen moving to Galatasaray.

Osimhen included a release clause in his Galatasaray contract, valid for only 10 teams. If an offer from these clubs came then he would have permission to leave Galatasaray. The Turkish club has accepted this condition.
