Elder statesman, Wantaregh Paul Unongo, Monday said there was no need for people to portray Governor Samuel Ortom in bad light because he is fighting the cause of Benue State citizens.
Our correspondent recalled that in recent times, Ortom and the presidency had engaged themselves in a war of words over issues bordering on security and grazing routes policy of the federal government.
Unongo, a former Minister of Power and Steel, who spoke during a stakeholders’ meeting in Makurdi, urged members of the National Assembly from Benue State to support the governor’s good cause.
“Ortom is not fighting Buhari. Ortom is fighting Benue’s cause not Buhari. His people are being killed every day. He is only telling Buhari to do the right thing.
