The Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Media and Public Communications, Mr. Sunday Dare, has stated that the opposition is finding it difficult to counter the administration’s achievements, noting that recent developments in governance have left rival political figures “sweating it out.”
Dare made the remark in a social media post accompanied by an Artificial Intelligence-generated video depicting former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the Labour Party’s former presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi.
According to the presidential aide, the performance record of President Tinubu since assuming office has made it increasingly challenging for opposition leaders to gain political traction or produce convincing alternatives.
“It is hard to fight results. The opposition sweating it out as President Tinubu’s scorecard makes them sweat. Presidential ambitions dead on arrival (DOA),” Dare wrote, referencing the President and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The statement comes amid continued political debate over the administration’s policies, reforms, and overall performance, with both supporters and critics intensifying public discourse ahead of future electoral contests.
