The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ohafia local government area of Abia state has appointed Hon. Nnamdi Iro Orji a.k.a OPOTOYOM as the leader of the caucus.
Also appointed at the Secretary is Chief Ndukwe Iko while Hon. Elder Ogboso O. Kalu emerged the Assistant Secretary.
Their appointment follows an inaugural meeting of the caucus which took place on Sunday at the residence of the LGA chairman, Hon. Prince Agwu Moses at Nde Nko, Nkporo in Ohafia LGA, Abia state.
Others appointed to join the statutory EXCO include, Prince Obasi Uba, Hon. Dr. Anya Inyima Kalu and Hon. Uka.
Their appointment was accepted and ratified by everyone present.
The LGA chairman Hon. Prince Agwu Moses in his inaugural speech thanked all the caucus members for making the meeting a success and appealed to the new caucus leadership to join hand and resources with the party so as to build a stronger APC OHAFIA LGA.
The Leader of the caucus Hon. Nnamdi Iro Orji in his acceptance speech expressed gratitude to the house for choosing them, assuring that the caucus will not do anything without the directive from the party leadership.
He reminded the house that caucus is not higher or greater than the party. “We are just advisory body to the leadership of the party at the local govt. Once again, thanked you all” he said.
