OPM Ensures Uninterrupted Education For Students From ESM to UNIPORT

Over 25 students who were initially set to depart for ESM University in Benin Republic this September have been redirected to the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) due to the latest policy changes implemented by the Nigerian government.

The students, who had already cleared their West African Examinations Council (WAEC) exams sponsored by the Omega Power Ministry (OPM), were also registered for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exam, with 127 students successfully passing.

In a swift response to the policy shift, OPM has successfully registered the 25 affected students for the POST-UTME exam at UNIPORT. If successful, they will join the existing cohort of OPM scholarship students already enrolled at the university.

ABN TV gathered that the scholarships are fully funded through tithes and offerings from the OPM church, highlighting the organization’s commitment to supporting the educational pursuits of its members.

This development underscores the evolving landscape of education policy in Nigeria and the adaptability of organizations like OPM in ensuring students’ academic aspirations are not hindered.
