It is no longer news that Abia state opposition has reduced logical criticism, which is supposed to be a veritable ingredient of democracy, to a new low of absurdities and uncouthness.
What could be more unfounded than the claim by one Chief Daniel Okeke that the Governor of Abia state, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has performed only on Facebook? It beats all logical reasoning that only the likes of Chief Daniel Okeke and his band of mischievous opposition politicians will in the face of visible and verifiable achievements of the present administration, still struggle to stand the truth on its head. While Chief Daniel Okeke and his ilks are “Facing book”, the Abia economy under Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu is facing reality in its upward trajectory. While the business boom of Made-in-Aba reality under Dr. Ikpeazu is sending manufacturers and related entrepreneurs smiling to the bank, the opposition closes their eye to this reality.
Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu’s model of governance is purely the people-oriented-approach. The Governor understands that governance ought to be holistic and for the people’s benefit, that is why instead of only venturing into aesthetic beautification that feeds just the eyes, Dr. Ikpeazu expanded and included establishment of cottage industries – for instance – the rice mills in Bende and isuikwuato LGAs, to directly put money in the hands of commercial rice farmers, devoid of exploitation by unscrupulous middlemen.

The establishment of poultry clusters, distribution and planting of 4 million tenera palm seedlings, are not Facebook but verifiable achievements.
Dr. Ikpeazu has put Abia state on the map as the SME capital of Nigeria. Abia students maintaining their lead in WAEC and other national exams didn’t come by accident.
It is on record that Abia State is now a destination of choice for incubating business, that is why Google has it’s tech hub in Aba.
A total of 97 roads completed in Aba and many others at different advanced construction levels is not Facebook performance for those who live in or visit Aba. It is a fact that Aba had no single motorable road before the inception of Dr. Ikpeazu’s administration. Abia State is the only state that had four (4) grade A contractors working at different sites within the state at the same time. All these are verifiable facts of Dr. Ikpeazu’s performance but a man seeking protection from APC will say anything to curry favour.
Chief Daniel Okeke, a man with no known business address will never deviate from deceit, which is why he wanted to deceive Abians with his 419 statement of “Facebook performance”. It is obvious that this Daniel Okeke is not on ground in Abia State. He could be a deportee who is stranded in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, while getting his information from his grumpy colleagues of frustrated opposition politicians. If not, he would have been well acquainted with the eloquent democracy dividends Abians are enjoying under Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu’s led PDP administration in Abia state.
While Chief Daniel Okeke is never a close associate of Dr. Ikpeazu, he should understand that the lives of the 30 shoemakers that have been transformed for the better in automated shoemaking and the extended benefits to their families, employees, friends, and associates, is not virtual but real. Aba automated shoe factory is up and running with expected full daily production capacity in the offing but Daniel Okeke will rather monger lies as he is known to do for a living.
I will urge this Daniel Okeke to come back to Abia to enable him appreciate this Governor who faces work while opposition are the people that “Facebook”
WHILE THEY FACEBOOK: DR.IKPEAZU FACE WORK.
