Tragedy struck in Anambra state on Monday, September 14 after a water tanker crushed a tricycle, killing one person and leaving four others seriously injured.
A statement released by RC Kamal Musa, the acting Sector Public Education Officer of the Anambra State Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission FRSC, states that the accident occurred opposite Jodon Shopping Mall Nkpor, along Onitsha- Awka Old road at about 3 pm.
Musa said the crash occurred as a result of excessive speeding and wrongful overtaking. He said four persons who sustained injuries in the accident were rushed to Boromi hospital Onitsha, by FRSC rescue team from Nteje Unit Command and the dead victim’s body was deposited at the Mogue after he was confirmed dead by the Doctors in the Hospital.
