Okwun Ojah Family Foundation Empowers 10 Medical Students With N5 Million Scholarship (Photos, Video)

To support future healthcare leaders’ education, the Okwun Ojah Foundation has awarded scholarships to 10 medical students from Ohafia extraction.

The scholarship award ceremony, held on July 25th, 2024, at the Udumeze Hall in Elu Ohafia, saw each student receive N500,000 to support their medical education in recognized Nigerian universities.

The beneficiaries, selected based on merit, are pursuing medical degrees at various institutions, including Abia State University, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, University of Calabar, University of Ibadan, and Nnamdi Azikiwe University.

The beneficiaries are Miss. Akwu Amarachi, Mister Isaac Oke Ukpai, Onyinyechi Joymerry Ukonye, Igwe Faith Udo, Ogonnaya Awa Eke, Nmon Victor Udo, Uma Victor Emele, Eke-Awa Mayjoy Adanna, Emmanuel Uche Ndukwe, and Ukonye David Orji.

The event was attended by dignitaries, including representatives of the Abia State government, traditional rulers, and community leaders. In a speech delivered on behalf of the foundation’s president, Dr. Okwun Ojah, the importance of investing in education was emphasized.

The paramount ruler of Ebem ancient Kingdom, HRH Eze Ukoha Kalu Ukoha (JP), commended Dr. Ojah for his selfless contributions to the community. The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude, stating that the financial support would motivate them to work harder in their academic pursuits.

This scholarship award is a testament to the Okwun Ojah Foundation’s commitment to empowering the next generation of healthcare professionals from Ohafia. With this support, these scholars are poised to positively impact the medical field and give back to their community.
