The Paramount Ruler Of Ebem, Ohafia Ancient Kingdom and the Kpoke 1 of Ekeluogo Ebem Autonomous Community, HRH Eze Ukoha Kalu Ukoha (JP), has praised Barrister Doctor Okwun Ojah, founder of the Okwun Ojah Family Foundation, for his selflessness and humility.
Speaking at the scholarship award ceremony on Thursday, July 25th, 2024, Eze Ukoha said, “The President and founder of the foundation, Barrister Doctor Okwun Ojah… For any human being to be great, first and foremost, he has to be humble. And in Barrister Okwun Ojah, you’ll see copious evidence of humility.”
He continued, “Have you ever sat back and asked yourself, is there anything that the Almighty Father created that He created for itself? It’s only man that sometimes becomes self-centered… But Barrister Doctor Okwun Ojah is another human creator belonging to another class. His selflessness is beyond description.”

The Chairman, Ohafia Traditional Rulers Council, Eze Ukoha highlighted Barrister Okwun Ojah’s numerous philanthropic efforts, saying, “Whenever he’s doing anything, he doesn’t make noise about it… Ebem Ohafia, my community has been a recipient of Doctor Okwun Ojah’s large-heartedness on several occasions. We have a borehole… He has also provided support to many other communities.”
Addressing the scholarship recipients, Eze Ukoha said, “Doctor Okwun Ojah’s gesture means try and be like me or beyond where I have gone… He’s not just giving you a scholarship. He wants you to achieve like him or even more than he has achieved.”
He emphasized the importance of character and learning, stating, “In our days… any tertiary institution that is giving you a certificate… On the certificate, you will see that this person has been found worthy in character and learning… Which means you can learn. If you have no character, you will still be a failure… The first and foremost thing is character.”
Eze Ukoha also praised Barrister Okwun Ojah’s assistant, Mazi Jonah Okoro, saying, “He told me that the person to thank is… He said, why? He said, what I’m seeing now is what he has been doing for a decade… But each time he came home, he was disappointed because he did not see any result of all his investment… But that I should thank the Almighty Father. He has found his Alter ego. That is someone else who behaves like him.”
In conclusion, Eze Ukoha prayed for more individuals like Barrister Okwun Ojah and his assistant, saying, “So our prayer is that we may have more Okwun Ojah in Africa… Move on, and the sky is not even his limit.”
