Popular Igbo son and philanthropist, Mr. Okoh Emmanuel Onyeka aka Okwuluora Ndi Igbo has embarked on a huge empowerment programme in Aba, the commercial nerve centre of Abia.
The event full of glitz and glamour took place on Sunday, 24 September 2023, at Eldorado Event Center, attracting top socialites and notable members of the society.
Our correspondent gathered that Okwuluora doled out over 13 sewing machines, splashing over 5 million naira and scholarship to a brilliant young lady from Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rivers State.
He also showcased his brilliance and knowledge when he posed questions to the selected people who answered his quiz section.
Each winner went home with a sum of two hundred thousand naira.
Okwuluora had earlier caused fortune to smile at Mrs. Charity China Kalu a member of the late Bro Okwey and The Master’s Servant Gospel Music fame that reigned in the 80s and early 90s by touching her life to become an instant millionaire.
The side attraction during the event includes a live performance by veteran Gospel musician Mrs. Blessing Anyanele and also a High Life performance led by Joe Nez (Jnr).
Recall that his late Father, Joe Nez who hails from Umuajaka, Ulakwo in Owerri North LGA, Imo State died on November 13, 1982, at the age 61.
The late music legend released many hit songs like Business Trip, My Landlady and Baby Nwam Nosike.
Okwuruola also gifted a physically challenged young man, Chukwuemeka Amogu N500,000.
