Mr. Uche Nwosu, a son-in-law to former Imo State, Governor, Sen. Rochas Okorocha reportedly kidnapped, ABN TV reports.
Nwosu, who recently buried his mother was gubernatorial candidate of Action Alliance in 2019 election.
He was said to have been kidnapped on Sunday at the St.Peters Anglican Church, Nkwere.
The yet to be identified gunmen were said to have put him in a car booth after scaring poople away with bullets.
Fresh facts have emerged on how Mr. Uche Nwosu, a son-in-law of Sen. Rochas Okorocha, former Governor of Imo state was kidnapped on Sunday.
The Deputy Director, Ugwumba Leadership Centre, Remi Chukwunyere who spoke with ABN TV on Sunday said Uche Nwosu had gone on outing service in honour of his mother who was laid to rest earlier in the week.
He said the gunmen suspected to be security officials stormed St.Peters Anglican Church, Nkwere during church service.
This development was said to have brought the church service to an abrupt end.
According to Chukwunyere, they suspected security officials shot sporadically in the air, causing panic among the congregants.
He was whisked away to an unknown destination by the gun-toting security officials said to have come from Government House.
Mr. Chukwunyere said search for the abducted Uche Nwosu is still on as at the moment of this report.
Uche Nwosu, a former Chief of Staff to Imo State Governor was the gubernatorial candidate of Action Alliance in 2019 election.
