The Director General of the World Trade Organisation, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, joined the women’s organisation known as the “Umu Ada association” at Umuda Isingwu in Umuhia, the capital of Abia State, to celebrate the 2025 Christmas holiday.
The Umu Ada association is a women group known for strong sisterhood movement in the South eastern part of Nigeria.
According to a video shared on her official X handle NOIweala, she posted a celebratory gathering with women dressed in uniform native attire and musical band playing to celebrate the festive mood.
She said, “In the Christmas spirit. With Umu Ada Association and Umu Adukwu women in the village at Umuda Isingwu Umuahia.”
PUNCH Online had reported that the former finance minister, on Tuesday, joined the Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti to inaugurate the first batch of 20 electric buses introduced for green shuttle services across the state.
