Okali Congratulates Rep. Benjamin Kalu On Emergence As Deputy Speaker

The Director ABN TV, Mr. Ifeanyi Okali has congratulated the member representing Bende federal constituency of Abia State and former spokesperson of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu on this emergence as the Deputy Speaker of the House.

Kalu at the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly on Tuesday emerged the Deputy to Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, the president-backed candidate for the number four political position in Nigeria.

In a congratulatory message shortly after Benjamin Kalu’s emergence, Okali described him as a square peg in a square hole.

He said the lawmaker is a nationalist and a young person who will take advantage of his closeness to the youths to drive a legislature that project the welfare of the Nigerian youths.

“No doubt an embodiment of humility yet a reservoir of wisdom, Rep. Kalu in just one term as a lawmaker has demonstrated capacity in offering his people a redefined representation by the quality of projects he attracted, quality of Bills and motions he sponsored and moved.

“His emergence as Deputy Speaker did not come as a surprise as his track record speaks volume on his outstanding competence, capacity and character.

“This will no doubt be a gateway towards extending the hands of inclusion to the South East under the administration of President Bola Tinubu and efforts towards dousing the tone of marginalisation in the South East region

“I am also convinced that this will be a new dawn for our young people, a region Rep. Benjamin Kalu represents and have passionately spoken for over the years”, he said.
