In recognition of his philanthropic gestures and immense contributions and advancement of Ndi’igbo, human & community development as well as honest/ humanitarian services to fatherland, the Ohaneze Ndi’Igbo FCT, Abuja chapter, has honoured security expert and Former Director Operations of the Department of State Services (DSS), Chief Raymond Nkemdirim with an Award Of Excellence.
ABN TV reports that the award was conferred on him on Monday during the 2021 Igbo Day Celebration in Abuja.
Nkemdirim, the chairman Flo FM Umuahia was nominated alongside Senate Minority Leader, Enyinaya Abaribe and member representing Umuahia/Ikwuano Federal Constituency, Rep Sam Onuigbo as well as three other prominent and meaningful persons from each Igbo speaking state in South East.

In his remarks, Chief Chuks Chigbu President General, Abia Development Organization, Abuja And Chairman, PGs of 7 Igbo Speaking States Of South East In Abuja commended Chief Nkemdirim for being a role model for future generations in service to Nigeria.
Responding, Chief Nkemdirim hailed the Pan Igbo Socio Cultural Organization, Ohaneze Ndigbo for the recognition and urged them to continue in their drive towards mobilizing Ndigbo for greater development of the society.
