Abia-born Minister of State, Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Ogah has facilitated the appointment of Hon. Chibuzor Okogbuo as the State coordinator special projects, Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN).
This is contained in a statement made available to ABN TV on Thursday by the Minister’s Senior Special Assistant, Special Duties, Demian Igbokwe.
He said the appointment seeks to getting Abia farmers to benefit from the interventions of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN in the area of rice farming.

In the coming months and years, with this milestone, Abia is expected to be in the list of the largest rice-producing States in the country.
