The governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC in Abia State, Dr. Uche Ogah has mourned the death of a former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the state, Chief Ndidi Okereke, describing his sudden departure as a rude shock.
The former Minister said the late Chief Okereke was an astute politician and a grassroots mobiliser whose wealth of experience in political diplomacy was outstanding.
In a condolence message on Tuesday, Ogah further described the late Chief Okeke as a lover of unity and peaceful co-existence who was just in last couple of weeks active and full of life.

“It was with a great shock that I received the news of the passing away of a great patriot and a refined politician, Chief Ndidi Okereke.
“A quiet, peaceful, and development-oriented leader, he was very visible in any discourse geared towards enhancing the unity and stability of our dear state.
“I commiserate with the government and people of Abia state and pray that God Almighty will give his family the fortitude to bear this loss,” he said.
