Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah has congratulated the Chairman Governing Board of University of Calabar, Sen. Nkechi Nwogu as she marks her birthday.
The Minister describes her as a shining light who has brought honour and dignity to Abia her state through exemplary leadership in various public offices she has held.
In a congratulatory message on Saturday, Dr. Ogah noted that Sen. Nwogu has shown outstanding commitment to the welfare of Abians and the women folks.

He said Sen. Nwogu has raised the bar women participation in governance high in various levels of governance.
According to the Minister, Sen. Nwogu, a former Abia Central Senator has made a meaningful contribution for raising human capacity and her people’s standard of living for which he said posterity will be kind to her.
He prayed God to bless Sen. Nwogu with good health and sound sense of judgement as she continues rendering selfless service to her fatherland.
