Officer Killed As Gunmen Attack Police Station In Imo (VIDEO)

A police officer was killed on Friday night when gunmen attacked Oguta Police Division in the Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.

ABN TV gathered that the gunmen were, however, repelled by some gallant policemen on duty in a gun duel.

After killing the policeman, the gunmen reportedly escaped with gunshot injuries.

It was gathered that on arrival, the attackers threw improvised explosives at the police facility and opened fire on the men on duty.

Spokesperson for the police in the state, Henry Okoye, who confirmed the incident, said that the attackers were repelled.

The latest attack is coming less than a week after Agwa Police Station was attacked.
