NYSC To Introduce E-Naira For Corps Members

NYSC, the National Youth Service Corps, is getting ready to add E-Naira to the program.

The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, and the NYSC would collaborate on the use of internet money by corps members.

The platform would provide the scheme with the convenience of risk-free payments.

Habib Yusuf, the CBN’s deputy director of information technology, announced this on Monday while leading a group of bank employees on a polite visit to the Abuja headquarters of the NYSC National Directorate.

He said that the e-naira will enable the onboarding of many users and offline purchases of products and services.

He said that the E-naira will give people easy access to a variety of advances.

The Acting DG of NYSC, Mrs. Christy Ifeyinwa Uba, praised the apex bank for the innovation in response to the CBN’s request for cooperation.

The acting DG stated the NYSC is eager to collaborate with the CBN or any other organization on any new ideas that would help the Corps Members remember their service year.

She stated that the NYSC Management will consider the CBN’s request.
